미들랜드 한글학교는 2007년 개교이래로 지난 8년간 Tri-city 지역에 거주 중인 한인 2세들에게 한국어는 물론 한국 문화와 역사를 전달하기 위해 노력하여 왔습니다. 또한 2세들이 코리안 아메리칸으로서 올바른 정체성을 확립할 수 있게 하며 더 나아가 미국과 한국 사회에 이바지 할 수 있는 리더로서 성장할 수 있도록 최선을 다하여왔습니다.
학생들은 한글학교를 통화여 한국어로 말하기, 듣기 및 쓰기등을 배우며 언어능력을 습득할 수 있는 교육과정에 참여하게 되고 또한 여러 활동들을 통하여 다양한 전통 문화 및 현재의 한국 문화를 체험 할 수 있도록 하였습니다. 학교의 자랑인 선생님들께서는 학생들의 한국어 능력 향상 및 학생 개개인의 발전을 위해 수업 개발에 힘쓰시고 항상 최선을 다하시고 계십니다. 그리고 이러한 일련의 교육 과정을 통해서 학생들이 코리안 아메리칸으로서의 정체성을 확립하고 나아가 자부심과 긍지를 가질 수 있을 것이라고 확신합니다.
마지막으로 그동안 저희 한글학교의 버팀목이 되어 주셨던 학부모님들께 진심으로 감사의 말씀 전하며 앞으로도 학부모님들의 변함없는 성원 부탁드립니다. 항상 발전하고 나아지는 모습 보여드리는 미들랜드 한글학교가 될 수 있도록 끊임없이 노력하겠습니다. 감사드립니다.

Since its establishment in 2007 as a non-profit educational organization, the Midland Korean School has served the Korean-American community of the tai-city area of Midland, Bay City and Saginaw with the aim of instilling in Korean American children a strong sense of identity through teaching the language, culture and history of Korea.
There are a few distinctive features that make our school different. First of all, our school prides itself to be a school that emphasizes the teaching of not only reading and writing, but also speaking and listening, therefore helping children improve their Korean skills in all four areas of literacy.
Secondly, our school also strives to provide students with a comprehensive experience of learning not only the Korean language but also about Korea and Korean-America, by providing a rich curriculum that incorporates the history and culture of Koreans and Korean-Americans.
We sincerely appreciate our school’s parents for their endless support. Everyone at Midland Korean School will try our best to maintain the highest quality of education. Thanks.
